Yosemite National Park- a heavenly creation
This trip was awesome! Except for the horrible drive there which made both Aubriawna and Savannah car sick and they both threw up twice.....all over themselves, SICK!!! I was tempted to turn around and just go home; I'm glad I didn't. It is so beautiful up there. I wanted to go on a day when Jason wasn't working so we could go as a family, but he was .....less than enthusiastic about the idea. He told me that if I wanted to go hiking with the kids we could just find a spot close by and go....SOOOO not the point. I didn't want to just walk around in dirt, I wanted Yosemite in all its glory. I tried explaining this to him, but.....he's a guy, whatever- what more can be said. So, I took the kids myself. My sister Tawnya and her husband and kids followed us up there and came too. The kids did the Yosemite Falls hike which is about a mile or so----and the enjoyed getting all wet from the waterfall. I can't express how truly majestic and humbling it is up there. If you've never been, GO! Aubriawna said, "Wow, Heavenly Father made all of this?"--through the mouths of babes, right?

Aubri and Bekah begged me to let them get an elephant...just a baby one though- you know, "cause they're smaller and don't make as big of messes or get in as much trouble" I have really smart kids, always thinking.

Bekah probably gets in trouble the least in our family, and should probably be in trouble the most because she is such a tease to the other kids (kind of like her Dad- only he's more experienced and knows when I am watching)...But- she gives me this face every time I go to fuss at her---I am started to desensitize myself to it- but it's really hard

Fun post! Hey I want to know how much cheaper it was for you to get your cabinets and where you got them from? I am looking to gut our kitchen with in the year and I know you have some great ideas.

ReplyDeleteWe were supposed to go up to Yosemite last summer but never made it. That hike sounds like so much fun. I think we will try it!
ReplyDeleteHey, I would get off work to go to Yosemite. Of course, it is over 1500 miles away so I can't. Course I would leave the children behind - it was one part of the Honeymoon that didn't happen, stayed the night at the bottom in a tent at 20*F because the pass was still closed.
